For a long time, I believed my life would unfold a certain way.
It didn’t.
Like many women, I’ve experienced seasons of loss, heartbreak, uncertainty, and rebuilding.
There were days when I felt overwhelmed by questions I couldn’t answer and fears I didn’t know how to calm.
Honestly, there were seasons when all I wanted was a way to get air into my lungs.
I didn’t need someone to fix my life.
I simply needed someone to understand.
Over time, I discovered that healing rarely happens all at once.
It happens through small acts of courage, daily moments of self-care, and a willingness to keep showing up for ourselves one step at a time.
I didn’t find healing through one big breakthrough.
I found it through hundreds of small moments.
A walk outside.
A journal entry.
A conversation with a trusted friend.
A cup of tea.
A deep breath.
A quiet promise to keep going.
Over time, those small moments began to add up.
Looking back, I know now that I didn’t need someone to hand me a perfect plan.
I needed someone to sit beside me in the uncertainty and help me find the next small step.
That is the kind of support I wish I had then.
And it is the kind of support I now offer to women who are finding their way through life after loss.
Today, when women come to me, I don’t pretend to have all the answers.
What I do offer is a safe place to land, a listening ear, and a gentle path forward.
Because sometimes the bravest thing we can do is take one small step.
And then another.
